We recently ratified a collective agreement, of which we have an interim copy. This agreement is now in force and will run from December 12, 2019 to August 31, 2022. Please note that the above verification agreement is being processed for consistency reasons. We will publish the final draft when it is available. A collective agreement is a legally binding discussion paper that defines all your benefits (including salaries), rights and obligations as McMaster employees. All responsibilities and obligations of the employer (McMaster) are also exposed. The 2011-2016 collective agreement is available here. If you want a printed copy of this agreement, we advise you to download the following PDF version. This document contains the recent amendment to the School Support Staff Collective Agreement, which implements the Teacher Aide Pay Equity Claim (TAPEC) scheme. The transaction agreement and variation document can be viewed separately from the corresponding documents below. The group 1 collective agreement covers teaching assistants and scientific assistants who receive a scientific assistant instead of assistance, as well as demonstrators, tutors and supertutors, markers. The previous collective agreement block 1 (2016-2019) is available HERE. Note that documents are only available in Adobe PDF format.

Accessible versions, if available, can be provided on request. The collective agreement is the contract negotiated between AGSEM and McGill for the definition of your labour rights (with rights other than those of national and federal law). Collective agreements apply to all workers within the same unit. Contract changes specify or change the terms of a collective agreement. Below are the contract letters recently signed by AGSEM and McGill.
